Rapid Prototyping Optimization and Implementation Based on Conceptual Speciication

In this paper, a new framework for system design and implementation which facilitates system prototyping is proposed. The methodology includes a global optimization process which minimizes designers' speciication and system testing time. The user speciication is separated into two components: a conceptual speciication and a parameter speciication. The conceptual speciication deenes the system core which is rarely changed during the design process and may be implemented in hardware. The parameter speciication deenes other parameters that are adjustable during the simulation process. Such a partitioning approach uses both hardware and software capability. Two models, a Behavioral Network, which describes the overall system behavior, and a Conceptual State Graph, which represents the conceptual speciica-tion, are presented. The methodology presented is able to shorten the development cycle and increase exibility for system designers.
